Designed for my client's home Boulder, Colorado, this Mountain Modern living space explores the balance between monumental forms and natural materiality. Rather than relying on traditional mountain lodge references, the design draws from the surrounding landscape through texture, proportion, and restraint.

A weathered teak coffee table anchors the room, introducing organic character alongside substantial Brutalist-inspired lounge chairs and sculptural furnishings. Patinated metal accents are echoed throughout the artwork and accessories, creating subtle connections across the space. A palette of warm neutrals, natural woods, and layered textiles allows material and form to take center stage, while playful lighting introduces moments of levity and contrast. The result is a sophisticated interpretation of Mountain Modern design that feels grounded in Colorado without resorting to cliché.
